Team AFH, Thank you all so much for your dedication and volunteer work. Last Sunday, I finalized my adoption of, and picked up "Sammie" (he now goes by Oskar and he responds wonderfully!), and I cannot be happier. I am deeply in love with this dog, and am just so grateful for your wonderful Foundation for the work you do. Oskar is thriving! He plays wonderfully, socializes with other dogs like a champ, although we're still working out some puppy habits, and is just so good with strangers and children, my head spins. We went to our Vet on Tuesday and he's perfect - healthy, happy, and the Vet was so impressed with him. I know he had a lonely start in life, but with your Rescue volunteers and the AMAZING foster home he was fortunate thad, he just cannot be any gentler or better-trained. I was prepared for normal rescue anxiety issues and challenges, but am surprised daily at how great he is adjusting. He's learned to roll over and it's the cutest thing ever. OK, that's an exaggeration: everything he does is the cutest thing ever. I have been talking up a storm about A Forever Home. I'm very grateful everyone on the team took time to be sure I was the right match for this dog, from the phone interviews, to the home visit, to in-person chats at the adoption event. It means a great deal that you are most concerned about the animals - period. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. -Courtney
