Roxy (Rosemary)
Female (Altered) — Date of Birth: 11/07/2011 (13 years old (Senior))
Labrador Retriever Mix
Beauty and Brains! Roxy is a gorgeous lab mix although her looks coupled with her intelligence lead her foster mom to believe she might have some border collie in the mix. Her black and white coat is smooth and soft and she has one speckled floppy ear and a white tip at the end of her tail that shows off her fun personality every time it wiggles! Roxy currently tips the scale at 45 pounds and may fill out to a svelte 50 pounds or so once full grown. She is very sweet and loving and is always ready to give a kiss and gets along well with the two dogs in her foster family but is very curious about the wildlife (birds, rabbits, deer, squirrels) around her foster home which is likely to carry over to cats although she has no known history with cats. She is housetrained and crate trained and knows basic commands such as sit, down, off and walks okay on the leash. She has a large yard to run around and play in that helps burn her energy and she will do best if she receives regular exercise through walks, runs, playtime, or dog parks, etc. She is quick to learn from both her humans and the dogs in her foster family. She is good in the house and will lay close the her people and is content to chew on a bone or a treat-stuffed kong and then will go into her crate to sleep through the night. She is still a puppy so will need consistent boundaries and training to grow into a happy and well-behaved adult. She will need an all adult home or one with older children. Roxy has brought a lot of joy, love and laughter to her foster family in a short period of time and will do the same for the lucky family that gives her that "forever home."
