Henry is a happy-go-lucky two-year-old, 100-lb purebred St. Bernard. He was rescued from a shelter in W. Va. along with four other dogs he lived with, when their owner could no longer care for them due to cancer. He came with the name Brutus, but the name really doesn't fit, so he now responds to Henry. Henry's personality is exuberant, and because of his excitement and jumping in the air when wanting to play or upon seeing his owners, he must go to a house that does not have small children. He loves going for his morning and evening walks, as well as having his tummy petted, playing fetch with a ball, and chewing bones. He gets along very well with other dogs he sees on his walks. Once he attaches himself to a family, he can become protective, so he needs to be the only dog in the house. (His owners very sadly have to give him up because he eventually did not get along with their other dog.) Henry will be coming to adoption events and hope you will come to see him soon!
