Boston Terrier Mix

Lindsay is a Boston Terrier that was rescued from a puppy mill. She weighs 14 pounds and is very petite. Her favorite places on earth are the bed, the couch, and your lap. Lindsay has come a long way in 2 months. She is working so hard on trusting humans, but her fears sometimes take over and she will hide. She wants so badly to be close to you, but when you reach down for her, she takes a step back. On her own she will follow you around all day and sit by your feet. With much encouragement she will overcome her fears and ask to be picked up. Once she is in your arms secure, she won't want to leave....it's just getting her to that place takes patience. She loves her Boston Terrier housemates and will snuggle with them at any given time. She has no animal or food aggressions. She walks very well on a leash. She has not conquered jumping on furniture so she does have to be picked up. Her spirit is damaged and in need of repair, but when you get those glimpses of happiness from her, there is nothing better. Her whole body wags with excitement. She is working on house training and almost has it mastered. She needs someone with a very big heart and no small children. Ideally an experienced dog owner would be best.
