Niki is a pure-bred Maltese that came to us from a puppy mill in Missouri. She is about 4 years old and weighs 6.6 lbs. She is absolutely precious! She has a confident personality, but, is a little shy around men. She loves to sit and watch TV or sit on our laps and "help" us when we are working on the computer. She follows us everywhere. Niki gets along very well with our two Shelties and got along great over the Thanksgiving holiday with my parents Boxer! Niki has a good appetite and is coming along very well with her housebreaking. She has taken to walking on a leash. She will walk forever when taking a walk on the sidewalks. Surprisingly, she rarely barks - unless she sees a reflection of herself in the mirror or if she is left alone in a room. She will sleep in her crate and stays in the crate if no one is home. However, she loves to sleep in bed with us so we let her. She curls up in a ball and doesn't move until somebody wakes her. Niki will be a wonderful companion for a family with or without children. I think she would prefer to be around other dogs, but, that's just my opinion. She has a sweet personality.
