This is Bennie, a white poodle mix. He is quite thin, but acts very healthy. We've already started to fatten him up. We were told that he was picked up as a stray and no one claimed him. Bennie seems to be a very mellow dog most of the time, but he is a little skittish when someone makes any sudden movements or there are unexpected loud sounds. He acts somewhat protective of his primary care giver (foster mom) and hangs close to her most of the time. He barks whenever the foster dad enters the room but does not approach him. Bennie calms down with a quick correction. In all other instances--with our toddler, two cats and small dog--he is very calm. Bennie barks a bit more at our larger Black Lab. He is housebroken and has not had an accident in the house since his arrival on Saturday, April 25th. Bennie would make a great addition to a family with patience and ability to provide the loving care he needs.
