Hi - my name is Snaggles and I am approximately 8 years old. I have to admit that I am a little sad right now. I have been in Virginia since the middle of October 2008, and although a few wonderful people have shown an interest in adopting me, I have not yet found my forever home. I have a lot to give to the right person or family. I have my paws crossed that there is a forever home out there for me. Maybe it's you? I am a black lab mix, and a pretty cute girl if I do say so myself. AFH brought me to Virginia from Florida where I had been found at a local Pizza Hut. The people at the shelter where I was living loved me and took good care of me, but I am very happy that AFH rescued me. It was very hot down there and I lived outdoors a lot of the time. I am now very happy in a foster home, but I would love a forever home of my own. My foster mom says that I must have had a good home at some time in my life because I have house manners. I am housetrained, I take food carefully from your fingers, and I don't bark. My favorite thing to do is to lay around on a nice comfy bed (or your couch); however, I will come to you any time you call me. I love to be petted and hugged - I just love attention! My favorite game is tug of war with a rope toy! I also love to chew on marrow bones and I love to ride in the car. I am very picky about my canine friends, so I would be best in a home without other pets. I would also do better with playing with you in your fenced back yard for exercise, or being walked without another dog. I also don't think I would be happy at a dog park. I am pretty low maintenance and don't require a lot of exercise - a few walks a day would suit me just fine. I will repay you a thousandfold with love and loyalty.
