Dachshund Mix
Hi! My name is Fuzzy, not to be confused with Fuzzy Wuzzy. I am a full breed standard Dachund with a medium length coat. I came from puppy mill and they estimate me to be about three years old. I get along great with other dogs and am now doing great with cats. At first I liked to bark at the cats, but now realize that I need to be good around them. I don't seem to act like a puppy mill dog as I love human attention. I only appear a little reserved when there are huge crowds (like at our adoption events). So please don't judge me by those events. I am really a wonderful, sweet, low maintenance dog and would make a perfect addition to just about any family. I am a big cuddle bug, and just LOVE to curl up on your lap. At times I try to snuggle and be like a little baby in your arms. I follow my foster mom around all the time and hate it when she leaves me alone. However I seem to realize my foster mom has to work and from what she sees I appear to stay pretty quiet. I do have fellow dogs to keep me company when she is out so that probably helps. I am crate trained, and my foster mom is pretty sure I am housetrained. I have not had any accidents in the house and whine to get attention to go out. My foster mom keeps me on a good schedule and I always go out when she tells me to. I get along great with kids, though my foster mom thinks I should be with kids older than 3 yrs due to the fact I might mistake a crawling child as a fellow dog. I am really quite trustworthy and come running when you call. I don't seem to know quite how to play with toys yet, but do know they are mine and know I'm allowed chew them. I seem to like chasing after them when they are thrown but have not figured out that I am supposed to bring them back. I also show interest when you squeak them, but not quite sure what you are asking me when you do. I am really a great dog and my foster mom often is amazed about how easy I am. I am up to date on all my shots and have now just been neutered. I am looking for my forever home and just want to show you how good I can be. Please e-mail my foster mom and she will be happy to tell you more about me or meet you at our adoption events.
