Nelson is a pure-bred, wire haired Doxie. He is very sweet but still very scared and would not do well with small children. He is adjusting well and is slowly earning human's trust. He has quickly learned to climb upstairs and has become comfortable walking on a leash. He gets along great with other dogs and would probably do better in a home with another dog. He also does well with cats. He is slowly coming out of his shell and with patience and love I'm certain he will fit into a family just fine.
