My name is Bubbi, I'm a girl hotdog dog, and here is my story. I came from a Puppy Mill in West Virginia, where I was rescued by A Forever Home and I'm really grateful. Not only did they rescue me, but they found a loving foster family for me who picked me up on August 28th - and at that point I didn't even have a name and I don't even know how old I am. When they came to pick their foster dog, I was hanging out with three of my friends and my foster family had a choice. They sat and talked to us for a bit, and though I wasn't the cutest, I certainly won them over with my personality. After all I've been through, I still had a little energy and spunk to approach them and tried really hard to wag my tail. They picked me - yeah! I got to go home with them (a family of 6 with kids 4, 6, 11, and 13). They bought me a collar, leash and a comfy bed and toy to sleep with. It didn't take me long to figure out I was in an okay place and though I am still getting use to the idea, I seem to be settling in nicely. They are still figuring out if I'm house broken or not, which I am certain I am not, but its okay, they take me out a lot and are socializing me and teaching me all the right things to do, though I seem to be the most nervous around men and when there is too much commotion. I think I'd do best with a family who has children older than 8 who will be really gentle with me. My foster family also gives me time alone in my crate to chill as I warm up a bit. Pretty cool in my book - within hours, I was doing a whole lot more tail waggin'. Please adopt me - I have lots of love to offer and am looking for lots of love back. Your Forever Long Dog - Bubbi P.S. The other choice for a name for me was Courage - after what I've been through it would have been a wonderful choice as well.
