Snowball is a pure-bred miniature poodle. We have had her since the WV puppy mill rescue. She has her shots and has been spayed. She is shy around people; men more than women. If held she is very submissive and does not try to get away so can be handled if in her crate where she can be reached. We either have to pull her out of her crate (door is only closed when she is fed with our other 2 dogs present) or get her in the kitchen with the crates closed so she is "softly" cornered. We have given her 2 baths and again, she is very submissive. She has come a long way but has a long way to go. She has only taken food out of our hands 4 times, even if sitting on a lap. We are trying to handle her more. She loves to go out in our fenced back yard and play with the other 2 dogs. She did not know how to play when we got her. She will come toward the back door when called but will not come in if we are near the door. The only thing that we have found that will begin to overcome her shyness to take from our hand is tiny pieces of pizza. When she first goes out, if she could smile, she would be smiling ear to ear. She whirls, jumps and runs. You are very welcome to come to our house to see her. She will also start coming to adoption events so that she can take the next step in her socialization.
