Dachshund Mix

Meet Sophie! She'll be available to meet beginning 7 Sept 08. She is a tiny thing, a miniature Dachshund. She is white with light and darker brown markings and beautiful light brown eyes. Sophie was rescued from the West Virginia puppy mill so many things are new to her but she is curious enough that I think she will adapt quickly and become quite the little scamp. So far she is enjoying walking all around the house and seeing new sights. She's also getting the hang of a leash. Given her overall size and her stubby legs the steps have been a challenge but since food is up a flight of stairs in our house she's figuring them out. Despite all the recent changes in her life she shows no aggression and is very friendly with my JRT. She's shy with humans but did cuddle up on my lap after her bath last night. With some socialization she'll be a great little dog for a family.
