Sweet Pea and Harley are 4 year old pure-bred Pugs. The female, Sweet Pea, is the more traditional pug in confirmation - more face wrinkles, stocky. The male, Harley, is a little longer in the leg and less face wrinkles but has very cute expressions and is not as "loud" in breathing as Sweet Pea is. They appear to be very healthy and have obviously been someone's loved babies - they prefer the couch and your lap in particular to sit in. They aren't used to a leash and collar, but are sweet natured and very people oriented. So far they have had no accidents in the house. The are interested in the cats but haven't chased them. Around people's laps, there is some territorial behavior with other dogs but in the yard they play well together with other dogs. They are very true to breed, sometimes playful and clownish, sometimes calm and dignified, always sturdy and stable, good-humored and amiable -- this describes these two pugs perfectly. They respond very well to treats and sit nicely. They are showing some signs of separation anxiety (whining) but they have only been at the foster home for a very short time and may just need a little more time to settle in. Both dogs are up to date on vaccinations and are already spayed/neutered. They do not need to be placed together.
