I’m Bodie. I’m 2, and a classic Brittany. I am quiet, alert and active. I respond to kind commands, and enjoy being gently petted. I love spending time in the fenced-in yard, mostly prowling for birds. I like to perch on the porch/deck for an elevated viewpoint. I’ll play tug like a champ and growl appreciatively. I love chewing on bones. Take me for long walks or be my running partner! My foster parents are trying to instill a little discipline in me. I "sit" nicely (especially before dinner) and am learning "down," "stay," and "leave it." I’m a bit stubborn though. At a previous foster home, I learned that screen doors can be pushed open. Now they are locked. Darn. I just want to go visit the birds! I still want to nip and play puppy games with you, especially when you touch my paws or try to put a harness on me. I also use my teeth to tear into pillows and blankets, and to steal the occasional shoe – if left around for me to find. My foster parents are weaning me from this behavior. Apparently, grownup dogs don’t do this sort of thing. I like all people, including children, and I love snuggling up to my foster parents for long petting sessions—and would be really happy if I could weasel my way onto your bed or the couch. I get along well with other dogs. I wrestle enthusiastically with my foster brother. Not sure about cats...they might be fun to chase... Anyway, I’m a true Brittany and with some training, I’m gonna be a star. (Bodie was an owner surrender from a family who didn’t have time/resources to commit to his training. He is a pure-bred Brittany)
