Boston Terrier / Beagle Mix

Hi! My name is Foster and I am a Boston Terrier/Beagle mix. I stand about 13" high and weigh close to 25 pounds. My foster mom thinks I am the perfect mix as I got some of the best personality characteristics of both breeds. For instance, I am a lap dog and more laid back like the Boston, though I do have some energy moments. I do have a tendency to follow my nose like a Beagle, but don’t let it lead me into trouble. I am crate trained and I am working on becoming housetrained. Since I know how to hold it, it is just the matter of learning that outside is where I need to go. I am more of a people dog, but do get along with both dogs and cats. I don’t seem to play much with my dog friends and you will often see me sit beside my foster mom, though I do like to try and join in on a game of chase every once in a while. I follow my foster mom everywhere and do not like it much when I can’t go with her. I seem to be a very quiet dog when I’m with my family, but will bark when I can’t be with them. So I will need someone to put me on a strict schedule and to basically teach me that it is okay when you go and that you will always come back home to me. My foster mom is not sure how I will be with kids, but is pretty sure I will get along okay with children just going by my breed mixture. I would prefer a bit of a quieter household as I do get a little jumpy when it gets too noisy. I would not say that I am shy it is just that I feel safer when it is a bit quieter.
