Lucy
Heeere’s Lucy! She’s only set her paws on Virginia soil for 4 hours, but she is already getting used to her new surroundings! Quite shy as she is coming from a hoarding situation in Mississippi, she feels like a new girl after her ‘day at the spa’ for her coat and nails! She stands slightly over 11 inches at the shoulder and weighs 10.5 pounds. She is learning to walk with a safe slip-lead in the back yard, taking care of her business outside, and already has figured out the command “Crate” with a tiny treat for inspiration! She is alert and inquisitive, yet cautious and tentative, but her foster is certain she will become more confident with time and training. There are two adult dogs in the foster home (no cats), but we are allowing as much time as Lucy needs before they are introduced. There’s a lotta dog in her petite frame! Lucy is looking for her forever home, and leaving her past far, far behind!
