Poor little Amy has a sad story. She was with her owner for her whole life, an older gentleman, and he passed away. The man’s sister started taking care of Amy and did a pretty good job caring for her but she was constantly boarding her for a week or two at a time at the vet where one of our rescue partners works (in Mississippi). Then, because she was moving, she decided to euthanize Amy. Of course our rescue partner jumped right in and offered to take Amy because she knows that AFH would find her a wonderful forever home because we love senior dogs. Amy is in good health; she gets along with other dogs and cats; and she gets along with older children – no small children though.
