Hey, Y’all! Maggie is a big ol’ people-lovin’ pup who has just arrived! At four months of age, she already weighs 40 lbs and is 20” at the shoulder with big paws suggesting that she’s not finished growing yet! She has a patent-leather sheen to her black coat and her copper highlights add a touch of whimsy to her already winsome expression! Maggie already knows how to ‘sit’ on command and is learning to walk like a lady on the leash. She willingly goes into the crate for naps and overnights, but is learning that it is also a place for quiet time when people are busy or away from home. Consistent supervision, training, and opportunities to learn new skills are essential for bringing out this puppy’s best qualities. When not on long daily walks, Maggie needs a roomy, fenced yard to satisfy her snuffling, bloodhound nature and plenty of toys to tote around for her retriever side! She gets along with other dogs that love to frolic and chase in her current foster home. This fun-loving sweetheart is well suited for a home with older children due to her size and exuberance, but an active adult environment would also guarantee a tail-waggin’ good time!
