Sissy is a pure-bred Australian Shepherd. We believe that before she was dropped off at the shelter pregnant, that she had been living on a working farm. Her babies have gone on to new homes and now this sweet girl needs to find her forever home.
We believe her to be a typical "Aussie"- very smart, eager to work, protective and loyal. She is very food motivated and easy to train. If you are looking for a dog to be 'your' constant companion (meaning she doesn't want to be loved by the entire neighborhood), have patience and time to dedicate to training, and understand the breed and what they need to live happy, healthy lives, Sissy may be your girl. Due to her early lack of socialization, when she initially meets a new person, her first reaction is to be wary, which can include lunging and barking.
