Chocolate Labrador Retriever / Pit Bull Terrier Mix

This sweet girl was living outdoors in rural Kentucky with her pups until late September 2014. Throughout her life, she had countless litters. In fact, she had two litters in 2014 alone. Her owner was persuaded to give her up, along with her pups.

Now in the care of A Forever Home, this mother was given the name Phoenix, and she began thriving in her foster home the minute she walked in the door. She is affectionate with the male and female humans of her foster home and is calm with, but ignores, the two elderly Italian Greyhounds she lives with. Extremely intelligent, she is quickly learning to walk on a leash, use a pet door, and recognize her name. She is house trained. Phoenix is alert, has good canine manners, and is in tune with the humans she lives with. She wags her tail when you speak with her and she loves to cuddle. Phoenix has every good quality a dog can have. The family who adopts her will be truly blessed.
