Mogley, Malcolm, Moonbeam, and Marcie came to AFH together. Moonbeam is a great family dog with a calm and consistent demeanor. She is a very good listener, eager to please, and thrives on praise. She is gentle while playing with her human friends and patient with young children who like to cuddle with her. Moonbeam prefers to relax on a soft blanket much of the time, but has just the right amount of playful energy too. She is crate trained, but loves being out with the family when everyone is home and is well-behaved in the house. She is close to being housebroken, and does very well when we stick to the schedule and take her to her favorite spots. She responds well to rewards and positive attention for all training, and loves a variety of toys and treats. Moonbeam rarely barks, walks on a leash, and is making great progress with training to not jump or nip. She also follows an expanding list of simple commands without protest. She is a little shy around other dogs and gets scared around a lot of people and/or noise, but all she needs is a little reinforcement and praise to settle in to those situations and her behavior is always calm. Moonbeam loves her human companions and would do well in a home with children. She is not currently with other dogs or cats, but is being socialized with other animals when possible and does fine. She currently is about 20 lbs. Marcie is a great gal who is playful and loving. She is crate trained, potty trained and does not nip. She is wonderful with kids and with other dogs. Marcie looks like a lab/beagle mix, but her siblings all look wildly different so there is a great mix of dog breeds in her family. She loves to take walks and is leash trained. She knows what she is allowed to play with and responds immediately to the word no. Marcie learned quickly what rooms she is allowed to be in and knows not to be on the furniture. She is learning commands (sit, stay) with treats. As much as Marcie is playful, she can also play nicely by herself and will spend hours chewing a rawhide. She will be a wonderful addition to your family! Marcie is currently 30 lbs. Mogley and Malcolm have been adopted.
