If you are looking for that First Family Pet (and your children are mature and responsible), then look no further than Vegas. She is already housebroken and crate trained. Vegas is not food aggressive at all; you can pet her while she eats and even take her bowl away. Vegas knows the commands: No, Off, and Sit. She is becoming very familiar with the command "enough" (when barking too much). Vegas does gets along with her foster mom's dogs, however, when a new foster comes into the group she shows her bossy side very quickly. Vegas always wants to be the center of attention. She would do great as the only dog or fine with another dog that will accept her being the boss. Vegas will sleep through the night very contently on her own doggie bed next to her foster Mom's bed. Her foster mom is now working on her leash training b/c Vegas loves to go on walks with the rest of the doggie gang with both the dog walker and her foster Mom. Vegas was moments away from being euthanized, when AFH ran to a MD shelter to rescue her and one other small dog. She did not deserve to be put down. She is just the sweetest loving baby ever. Her biggest desire now, is to find someone who has the time to love her and give her the attention she so rightly deserves. Vegas is a very affectionate (people-oriented) dog and is always looking for someone to rub her behind her ears, down the bridge of her nose, or on her belly. In the evenings, after dinner and a good walk in the neighborhood, she will curl up and nap while the rest of the family either watches some TV or reads a good book. Vegas is more than ready for her new forever home today! Please come to adoption to meet her or e-mail for a meet and greet at her foster's home. There you will see Vegas as the absolutely wonderful, sweet, little doggie she truly is.
