Amos

Male (Altered) — Date of Birth: 05/01/2005 (19 years old (Senior))
Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie Mix
Amos came to AFH with his brother Andy from an unfortunate owner release situation. He is a very sturdy little fellow and is considered large for a Yorkie. He is very well-behaved and very mellow. If you are looking for that First Family Pet, then look no further than Amos. He is housebroken and crate trained. He was the first one to learn his new foster name and is very good at coming when called. Amos has also become very familiar with the commands: No, Off, and Sit. Amos gets along with his foster mom's dogs and plays very nicely with his brother Andy. Amos has become his foster mom's second shadow (only second b/c her own dog is first shadow); he will follow her all around the house. Right now his only known vice is he will pull on his leash when beginning the walk, so his foster mom is now working on his leash training. Amos' biggest desire is to find someone who has the time to love him and give him the attention he so rightly deserves. He is such a gentleman; as he stands very quietly and lets absolutely everyone pet him. Amos is a very affectionate dog and is always looking for someone to rub him behind his ears, down the bridge of his nose, or on his belly. In the evenings, once he has settled down, he will curl up and nap while the rest of the family either watches some TV or reads a good book. Amos is more than ready for his new forever home. Come meet him at our next adoption event.
