Hi, I'm Brandy. I am a very sweet girl despite having come from a home where I and 111 other dogs were severely neglected. I was one of the lucky ones as I survived and, thanks to AFH and my foster mom, I am now in good health. I am shy because of my past treatment and still do not like loud noises, sudden movements, or strangers; but my confidence will improve with time. Despite my past, my foster mom says I am lucky because I have been given a second chance. A chance for the kind of life I deserve. One with tenderness and love, a warm roof over my head, food to eat, and lots of treats! I am starting to know what it's like to be happy. I wag my tail a lot now, and I am always so happy when my foster mom comes home from work. I love to go on a walk and do really well on a leash. I get along great with my dog brothers, and with any dog we happen to meet when we are outside. I don't have a mean bone in my body but I don't know who I can trust yet and so I often hide behind my foster mom when strangers are near. I know I can trust my human foster brother, he has been very patient, gentle and kind. That is all it will take for me to trust you too. So if you are looking for a very sweet companion, who is crate trained, and housetrained, and you are patient and gentle, I am the one for you. But my mom won't let you adopt me unless you promise to make up for all the love I have missed during the first chapter of my life. But I can tell you this; you won't regret it and I will give it back ten-fold!
