Belle is a beautiful female, pure-bred mini Schnauzer that started her life in a puppy mill, living in a crate 24/7. Because of her limited living quarters, she has permanently bowed legs. This bowing often occurs when a dog is raised in a space that is not tall enough for the dog to grow to it's proper height. This does not effect her ability to walk or run like any other normal dog. While at the mill, she was also debarked. Now she can only make a whisper-like bark when someone comes to the door. She is crate trained and housebroken. Although she is a little slow to warm up to new people, she immediately feels safe with women. One of her shining points is that she is submissive and does not challenge dominant animals. This means she will blend with almost any other dog, and cats as well. she is currently being fostered with dogs and cats. We will also not adopt her to anyone with children as they make her nervous. Belle is most happy snuggled in a small dog bed, sleeping in a crate or sitting on a sofa as long as her foster mom is near. She is a quiet and affectionate companion and will become the love of your life, if you adopt her.
