Boy, do I have an interesting story to tell you. I have been living outside on a chain for a number of years and there was this woman who felt very sorry for me since I did not even have a dog house for shelter. She contacted an organization called Dogs Deserve Better (www.dogsdeservebetter.org) whose goal is to remove all dogs from the end of a chain. DDB contacted the person who fed me and explained to him how important it is for dogs to be living as part of a family and not outside all alone on a chain. The guy was not interested in doing that so he gave me away. AFH came to my rescue and now I get to live inside while they find me my forever home. UPDATE: I am suppose to tell you that I am crate trained and housebroken. The woman who felt sorry for me still visits to take me on walks and she says that I am excellent on a leash. We walk around Shirlington Village where there are lots of people and other dogs and I do great - no pulling at all. Now, that I have been neutered, I get along with all of the other dogs in my house. (By the way, that was a dirty trick, I thought it was just a car ride.) There are always bowls of food, bones, and toys around the house and I share everything. I do not even care when my foster brother goes into my crate to eat the treats I did not finish. I am still learning to play with other dogs, but my foster mom says I will get there in no time. I love to have people pet me, I can be petted for hours. I sure hope I get to go to my forever home soon. Please contact AFH if you would like to meet me. THANKS
