Abby is an absolute sweetheart. She is listed as a doxie cross from when she came in as a puppy. We are not sure how much dachshund is in her as she is a lovely medium size (about 25 pounds) dog with short brown hair and long legs! She was returned to the rescue because she was having some issues in her previous home. We have not witnessed ANY issues with her in the two weeks we have had her. She was supposed to be terrified of the crate; she willingly gets in her crate and is very calm. She had lots of bathroom accidents; she has not had a single one here. Abby walks great on a leash, knows sit, down and place. She enjoys being around people, gets along with children, cats and other dogs. Abby loves to ride in the car. Abby’s only “fault” is that she is eight and a half years old. She is a wonderful, kind, gentle girl with LOTs of good years left and would acclimate well into just about any family. If you are willingly to adopt a girl in the prime of her life, come and meet Abby – you will fall in love with her!
