My name is Rusty and I am a 3 year old terrier mix. I weigh about 20 pounds and the color of my coat is a bit rusty, hence where I got my name. I was adopted when I was 8 weeks and still live with my parents. I am currently looking for a new home because my Mom is 7 months pregnant and we all agree that it would be best for me to find a new home without children (given my personality). I know how to; sit, stay, shake, high five, and am crate trained and housebroken. I am a happy-go-lucky dog (with my parents), however, very wary of strangers. I have a behavior therapist through Bark Busters and that life-time training contract would come with me. My behaviorist will help me make a successful transition to your home and will follow up as much as necessary to make sure that we are a good fit together. I think it would be best if I were adopted by a single or couple that does not have many guests. My parents say that because I mouth off a lot and am afraid of visitors, I have to be crated when they have friends over. There are certain family members that I do well with but that is because I have gotten to know them over time. I would love to be adopted by someone that loves to exercise. I love to lounge around and sleep for hours, and when I get a nice long walk, I can sleep all day long. I am very loyal and want you to know that I will probably follow you from room-to-room to make sure that you are always OK (I have a bit of separation anxiety). If you have good leadership skills and want a life long campanion, I am the dog for you.
