Hi Karen, I wanted to send you a few pictures of Ally (aka Sandy). Her first night went pretty well. She fell asleep in the living room on a blanket so I carried her in the blanket to her crate and stayed with her while she fell asleep. She cried a little each night at first, but only from when we first put her in the crate to when we got upstairs (her crate is in our kitchen, near our front door). She doesn't cry anymore when she goes in the crate. Most days Erik is home with her and sometimes she chooses to go in her crate to nap. Sometimes she'll just settle in on a blanket in the living room to be near him. I was surprised that she made it through the night without an accident right from the start. She'll walk on her leash without pulling (most of the time) and we started puppy kindergarten 3 weeks ago. She knows "sit", "down", "stand" and "shake". This week we'll try to teach her "stay". She's very lovey-dovey with everyone. She plays so well with other dogs and she's met a lot of people (our puppy kindergarten suggested standing outside Walmart with her to meet lots of people, which was a little weird, but she made a lot of people smile and she gave an awful lot of kisses).
