Trevor Update

Dear AFH:   Trevor was adopted in 2014 at 7 months of age.  He was a reactive boy with separation anxiety at the beginning.  With training and patience,  he mellowed and became much more confident and had success in competitive obedience, rally, Fast CAT, parkour, trick dog, and CGC.  Trevor turned 11 years old in March 2025 and he definitely has taken a liking to agility which we began just 2 years ago!   He earned his AKC Novice Agility Preferred, Novice Fast Preferred, Novice Jumpers with Weaves Preferred, and recently added Open Agility Preferred to his list of titles.  It is so special to experience a new sport with an older dog.   All the Best to our friends at  AFH.  Thank you for all you do!
Signed, Diana Hong & Trevor

Girl Scout Troop 4044

Girl Scout Troop 4044 completed their scouting journey during the 2024-25 school year.  They have all graduated from high school and are moving on to college.  During one of their final meetings, they all meant to talk about where they would like to donate their remaining funds.  One of the families had adopted a dog from A Forever Home Rescue several years ago and they all have a soft spot for animals.  Helping to support one of our local animal rescues felt like a meaningful way to make a real difference.

We Have A Winner

Our July 4th 50/50 Raffle has officially wrapped, and we’re thrilled to announce that the lucky winner is Sean O’Malley who will receive $13,690.  On behalf of all of us at A Forever Home, thank you to everyone who purchased tickets. With your help, we sold 1,369 tickets, raising $27,380, half of which goes to directly support the medical treatment of the dogs in our care. Your generosity helps us rescue dogs from shelters, provide emergency veterinary care, and place them in loving forever homes. Whether or not you won the raffle, you’ve made a lasting difference in the lives of animals in need.
