Emma June
Emma June came to us from Louisiana, the only survivor amongst her siblings where she was found on a country road. She has a love-at-first-sight face. She absolutely loves spending time outdoors in our fenced backyard, rooting here and there and hiding out under the bushes, only to come shooting out at top speed with a gleeful expression! She taught herself how to climb stairs, and loves to run full out to fetch and carry a toy back for another toss! EJ is a very inquisitive, active girl loves the stimulation with a variety of toys and experiences. Although she is not housebroken at this young age, she is given the opportunity to go outside every time she wakes up or after a meal, and even will sit looking out the back door to indicate a need to do her business. Emma understands the ‘sit’ command, and is working on leash training. She easily takes her naps and sleeps overnight in her crate. Emma doesn’t mind being placed in a secured crate for short periods in the daytime when the foster is out running errands. She would be a great companion for those who participate in outdoor activities. Emma’s as sharp as a tack with excellent eye contact; therefore on-going skill training would be for everyone’s enjoyment and pride! Emma June’s bright future lies with that special person or family who wants to literally ‘hit the ground running’ with a happy girl who is ready to make you her own!
