Hi! My name is Sarge and my foster mom says it is a very fitting name for me. I am a 4 month old Chihuhua/Feist mix or at least that is what my records say, my foster mom thinks there is something else mixed in as well. I came from a West Virginia animal shelter along with my three sisters, Simp, Sara, and Suzie. My foster mom estimates that I might reach 25 maybe 30 pounds, but it is difficult to say for sure. What ever it is I'm sure to stay within the small to medium range thanks to the Chihuhua part in me. I am a very sweet pup that absolutely loves attention from my human companions. I love to give out kisses, cuddle up on laps and receive belly rubs. My foster mom has taught me to stay calm and sit when I want attention so I try to remain on my best behavior so that I can get all the attention you can give me. I am a smart boy that thrives on praise. I have learned the commands no, and sit, and I am starting to learn the commands down and come. I am crate trained, but still working on my house training. I do know how to hold it for 4 hours and if kept on a good schedule I am doing really good about not having any accidents. I have that big dog in a little dog body personality and can be a bit dominant with dogs my size and smaller but get along with any dog once I learn where my part of the pack is. I show submission to larger dogs and am submissive to humans once my foster mom showed me where my place in the pack is. At first I cried and barked when my foster mom left the house, but I now know her schedule and am very good and quiet until she gets home. I am really good with cats and for the most part ignore my foster kitties. I really enjoy my walks and am walking quite well though do have a tendency to tug. I seem to get along well with kids, and thrive on their attention. I do occasionally need to be reminded not to do certain behaviors around them, but I am a puppy and so my family will need to teach me. I am a really good boy and will do anything for your praise and approval. I will make a great family dog with a little training. If a family has another dog, I will do best with larger dogs or submissive smaller ones. Socialization to other dogs will be a great benefit for me.
